Punk Clothing Style

Punk Clothing Style

The Punk Clothing style has been in youth culture since the early 1970's, from the streets of New York City to The Worlds End in west London, all of us, like it or not bore witness to the subculture of punk rock fashion that soon followed. When we think of Punk clothes are minds drift of to thoughts of denim, leather jackets, chains, studs and offensive punk t shirts. The style has been brought to the public eye by punk bands past and present.

We can congratulate punk bands like The New York Dolls, The Stooges, London's Sex Pistols and The Clash for taking the hugely popular punk clothing style to the hordes of fans around the world, but we can't discuss Punk clothes with out giving credit to the man and woman behind the Sex Pistols. Punk Clothing wouldn't be as we know it today, if it wasn't for those two famous punk rock designers famous for opening their Kings Road boutique store "SEX" over thirty years ago.

Fast forward to 2010 and you will find a handful of celebrities adorning themselves in punk clothing, these stars include Travis Barker, Green day, No Doubt, Rancid, Haley Williams, Kelly Osbourne and Pink to name just a few.
