Blogging has become a very popular way of communication within the past few years. While it used to be something that techy geeks would do, it's become a way of life in the meantime. People blog for various reasons, being that they have a particular topic they would like to discuss, such as politics, sports, music, hobbies or themselves. There seems to be a blog for just about any subject.
Even scrappers have started to blog and the number of blogging scrappers is climbing at an unbelievable rate. Scrappers have come to realize what the benefits of blogging are and how to integrate these benefits into their scrapbooking world.
One of these benefits is having a daily "log" of their lives documented online. They can use the information they post as a reference for future journaling on their scrapbooking pages.
Another benefit is communication with other family members or friends that live far away. Let's face it, this is a fast-paced world we are living in, where time is of the essence. Instead of writing to each and every family member or several friends about what is happening in your life, you can simply suggest that they read your blog. It saves time and they can look at it whenever they want. There are blogs that have a password option, so not to worry. If you would like your blog read only by certain people, that is a possibility.
Some scrappers enjoy sharing their layouts and projects with other scrappers where a blog can really come in handy. Many blogs offer photo galleries, making it easy for scrapbloggers to get inspiration from other scrappers. To make it look like an actual blog for scrappers, some scrappers have a nice matching theme. Many blogs offer various themes for a variety of subjects. For scrappers, although, the selection is very slim. The good thing about themes is that you don't have to be a programmer to have your blog looking fabulous! You just select it and viola, there it is! Why pay someone to make something that you can already get for free!?
Since there is a need for themes out there, some designers have begun to realize this and are developing cool scrapbooking themes for blogs. Most recently a special free scrapbooking theme was created for WordPress by SimplyWP. The theme contains scrapbooking elements in the header image and the background theme. There are also two sidebars and a second sidebar can be used to list all your friends or to add buttons or blinkies. This theme was created in subtle, soft colors to allow your layouts to be the main attraction of your blog.
The above mentioned scrapbooking theme can be previewed at http://www.scrapblogging.net/?theme=scrapbook and downloaded at http://www.photomix.com/news/free-scrapbooking-theme-for-wordpress/ absolutely free. It's unbelievably easy to implement, so you'll have no fuss with it at all. You can show all of your friends what a cool scrapbooking blog you have almost instantly.
For some, flying is a routine. No matter how much security we have to go through to get on the plane, it's still quicker than all the other land-based systems of transport. For others, it's an adventure. We have saved our dollars and now we get our reward - a flight to the holiday destination we have been dreaming about for months. Except that, the further we fly, the worse the effects on our bodies. Some flights are nicked-named, the "red-eye" flights because of their timing. When they land, the people leaving the plane look and act like the cast out of Night of the Living Dead and shamble through the rest of the day like zombies. When the flights take us across different time zones, the effects can be just as devastating. One of the reasons for this is sleep (or the lack of it). Our bodies have natural circadian rhythms. We have a body clock that automatically tells us when to eat, to sleep and so on. If something disrupts that daily cycle, all the body's processes are disrupted. A theory has recently taken hold that the body clock can be reset by using ambien. The idea is a simple one. If you are going to fly forward or back twelve hours, you will be expected to function at full alertness at a time your body clock tells you it's night. Without intervention, your body's temperature will drop slightly, your metabolism will slow and you will feel tired. But let's say you take ambien on the plane. Now you sleep out of synch with your old time frame, but in the right frame for your destination. This is thought to be taking the first step to resetting the clock. In fact, there have been many confirmed stories in the media of sportsmen and women using ambien to get themselves to sleep so they match the local time zones. Some physicians can be persuaded to prescribe ambien for this purpose or you can just buy the ambienonline as you need it for your travel. However, although everyone agrees that it's the most effective drug to combat insomnia generally, its use for this purpose is more controversial. Forcing the body to sleep is not the same as getting good quality sleep when your body is expecting it. Merely making you perform the activity of sleeping at the local time, is not resetting the clock that regulates your metabolism. Most informed physicians prefer people to live through the change and adjust naturally.
qWhen life is going along well, there are rarely temptations. You have everything under control and there's no need to cut corners. But as the household budget comes under pressure, you have to keep the cost of essentials like auto insurance under control. No-one wants to risk driving out on the public roads without insurance. Cars are essential to most households. You don't want to be put in the situation of having to choose between food and insuring the car. Yet, if you have picked up a traffic ticket, there's a temptation not to pass the news on to your insurer. You're almost certain the result will be a premium increase, particularly if it was a moving offense - insurers tend to think people who drive too fast or without paying proper attention to the rules of the road are more likely to get into accidents. So what are the issues? Most auto insurance companies treat the ticket as "important" for between three and five years, and raise your premium. The amount of the increase will depend on the offense. A speeding ticket where you were only a few miles per hour over the limit will not have a big effect. But if you were driving under the influence of drink or drugs, the effect will be significant. For starters, in many states, you will be caught up in the SR-22 scene. This is a certificate issued by your insurance company to your state's Department of Motor Vehicles. It certifies that, even though you are a "problem driver", you're carrying the minimum liability covered required by your state. Except that many insurers are unhappy if you have a drink driving or DUI conviction and either refuse cover or charge a deterrent premium. That means getting the SR-22 can be expensive. So you're tempted to keep quiet and hope your insurer will not notice the ticket(s). That keeps the premiums affordable. But, as and when the company finds out, your auto insurance policy will be cancelled. Your failure to disclose facts that were material to assessing the risks and setting the premiums can, if deliberate, be treated as fraud and you could find yourself the subject of prosecution or civil suit. Worse, no other insurance company will then insure you. It's not that honesty is the best policy. It's the only way you can get and keep a policy in place.
Forgive me but I'm something of a plain speaker and I'm writing about an issue that can be dangerous to your health. Millions of people around the world are obese. Tens of millions are seriously overweight. There is absolutely clear evidence that people who are overweight run the risks of Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. The longer you are overweight, the higher the risk of early death. So why are you overweight? The answer could not be more simple. You are overweight both because you eat too much sweet or fatty food, and because you refuse to exercise. The remedy? You have to eat smaller portions of more healthy food and exercise. This represents a major lifestyle change. It sounds so simple but most overweight people are food junkies. When you start, you find you're hooked on all the wrong kinds of food. Try changing the diet and your body develops withdrawal symptoms. For the first time in years, you feel hunger. There's a remedy. You can buy phentermine online (where it's cheapest). As the longest running appetite suppressant on the market, it has proved itself as effective to keep the hunger pangs at bay. So, while you go through the withdrawal period and your stomach slowly contracts, growing more used to smaller amounts of food inside, you take phentermine. This tricks your conscious mind into thinking you are full. All you have to do is to control the reflex action to snack. Like everything important in life, losing weight is all about having the motivation to keep going. Some join clubs or circles to get the emotional support they need. Others buy phentermine and wait out the pain of hunger. Without the help and support of family, friends and colleagues, you will probably have relapses. There is no need to feel guilt. Just pick yourself up again and get back on the wagon. The weight will slowly come off - it will be faster if you exercise as well. I deliberately started off the article with a frightener. But the medical evidence is clear. An early death is waiting for most people who remain overweight. If this fear is not a good motivator for you, keep on with the phentermine as directed by your physician. No matter how you do it, you should make actual weight reduction your highest priority in life. You owe it to your family if not to yourself.
