Entry 4 - A possibility of subliminility

Subliminal Messaging. Does it work? Or is it a load of *beep*. There have been studies saying that only certain types are effective and that they only last for a while. That being the case a subliminal message for our cause would do well only existing for a short moment. The most common places subliminal messages could be placed on the road are somewhat obvious: Billboards, bumper stickers ,roadsigns (such as speed limit and exit signs) and, believe it or not, license plates of your fellow drivers. Quick little influencing messages giving drivers the feeling or the idea to get off their cell phones and focus on driving and not having another distraction. Billboards would be simple as we could blend the message into whatever advertisements are out there, roadsigns would be a bit harder as it would take some creativity to achieve that. Bumper stickers could in fact just get rid of the sublimity and flat out yell "GET OFF YOUR PHONE, YOU ARE DRIVING!" License plates would be a nifty little addition especially if a unique one catches a drivers interest. These subliminal messages may help or they may not, but hey, every little bit helps and the idea is in the right place.
